The first content of STEP4NAMs EDUCATE, the new online training programme on New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), is now available. The programme provides a structured learning environment designed to build a shared understanding of NAMs across the entire value chain – from research to regulatory application.
A solid foundation with the Core Module
The programme launches with a mandatory Core Module, serving as an introductory course covering cross-cutting topics relevant to all NAM approaches. It establishes the fundamental knowledge required for all subsequent training activities.
The first lectures include:
- an introduction to New Approach Methodologies,
- the 3R principles and related ethical considerations,
- and upcoming content on regulatory applications of NAMs.
This module is designed for both newcomers and experienced professionals seeking a structured overview of the field.
Specialised modules coming soon
In addition to the core course, a series of specialised sub-modules will be released by mid-April. These will focus on specific technologies and applications, including:
- Organ-on-Chip systems,
- Organoid models,
- Digital Twins,
- and benchtop simulations.
This modular approach allows participants to tailor their learning experience according to their interests and professional needs.
Certification and further opportunities
Participants will receive individual certificates for the Core Module as well as for each completed sub-module. At the same time, EDUCATE serves as the entry point to further support activities within the STEP4NAMs project.
